I looked around but i cant find an exact answer to all of my questions... so Im gunna ask...
1. I read on here that you should connect a hose up to the vacuum line to put into the bottle of injector cleaner... However, i was told by someone else that they did it by just pouring the cleaner slowly into the vacuum ports (with a funnel obviously). Would this be the same? It seems easier to do it that way.
2. I just bought the B-12 Cleaner today and was going to do it this week but i just remembered that i JUST changed my oil less than 500 miles ago... So does that mean that i shouldnt do this untill i need another oil change?
Any other things that should be taken into account?
Thanks

id like to add something:
Is it required that you change the plugs right before/after you do this?

UIM cleaning(without removal) that should shed some light. In addition, It's been stated that it's best to change the oil/plugs after the cleaning.

I've read that as well as almost every immediate thread that comes up in a search. Nothing covers my questions adequately.

It will stall and you will "get a loud bang" if you pour in too much

If is up to you but a lot of crud will get to the oil.
Read the post by Ike three weeks ago. "What did I do wrong here" in this forum. Good luck.

I guess I don't see why the funnel wouldn't work, you just have to regulate the fluid intake verry carefully which is easier to do if you use a rubber hose that you can kink.
Same thing as the newb up there said, with the possibilities of some gunk floating in your pan, I'd wait.

I'm the one that introduced the "vacuum suck" method of cleaning the intake manifold. It cleans more in that it also cleans the combustion chambers as well as the intake and exhaust ports.
It does not matter how you introduce the cleaner into the intake manifold as long as you can properly control it. I find it easier to control with a vacuum hose. Although it is hard to find, Berryman actually makes a kit with a hose for doing this, however it is intended to use the hose or tube in front of the throttle body. IIRC the kit also includes some method of controlling the flow of the cleaner. You might find it with a Google search. It probably would do a good job, but I didn't need it. Part of what is essentual is that you find a point to introduce the cleaner that will distribute the cleaner evenly to all cylinders. Using the two vacuum ports on top of the intake manifold will do that, especially if you use about half the cleaner on each port.
As far as changing the oil or spark plugs immediately after, it is not necessary. If I am doing this at the same time I'm doing a spark plug change or oil change, I will do the intake cleaning first, but it is not necessary.
If you have any other questions, please ask. You can PM me if you wish.

my question is how would crud get into the oil from this cleaning? Wouldnt it just go into the intake, through the combustion chamber and out the exhaust?

If you dump enough in it's going to leak around the rings into the oil pan.

Even under the best of conditions, some of the chemical will wash past the rings and into the oil supply. Most any oil in even reasonable condition can easily handle the contamination. It's just not that big of a deal. If you are going to be changing the oil anyway, do it after the treatment. If not, don't worry about it.
