True. Are you saying a turbo and an ATX can't exist in harmony? MB's AMG seems to think otherwise... As do I.

Dude you have got to think!

You HONESTLY believe the MB (and AMFG for that matter) Automatic Transmission(which is not even an ATX), is ANYTHING like the one in you Mystique?!

That is such a poor comparison that it's laughable!

The CD4E is NOT designed to handle the power from even a 3L (as we've seen), let alone a boosted Zetec!

Get a clue!

A turbo and an atx can get along just fine. The problem is we are talking about a specific atx, the cd4e. Its a piece of junk. The amount of TQ a turbo makes will toast it quickly.

Point taken guys. The CD4E isn't the best mate for a turbo, but that doesn't mean all ATXs and turbos don't get along. Besides, I don't see why it is such a poor idea. What is wrong with a mild turbo strapped to a Zetec? I'm only talking like 4-6 pounds of boost. Nothing drastic, but enough to feel, you know? Anyway, it was just a random idea, nothing serious, so don't jump my case. I'm just looking at things I could do with the car, since I'm stuck with it until I have enough money to get my King Cobra project going, and my friends Firebird project finished. Until then, I'm stuck with the Merc. Not too bad of a car to get stuck in though...

the atx's can barely last very long with the stock power.

hmmm...I'm not sure about this, but didn't Loco have a blower on his stock ATX? Not sure if it was modded in anyway though...
