For those tha have them, are the number's I"ve seen true? 0-60 in 9 seconds? How was it going from an SVTC to one of these?

I don't usually drive the escape hard, but it does have "git up and go", although it can be noisy when you push it. Minor complaints about road/wind noise and rattles, but pretty happy w/ it after ~20K miles.

With my completely stock 3.0 2WD Escape, I pulled a 8.1 to 60 mph (G-tech). I have never taken the Escape to the track but it does have excellent power to weight ratio so low 8 second is entire possible. I think the official number form Ford is 8.8 or 8.9 second. 4WD will add about 400 lbs to the car so it will slow it down a bit. There is lots of room under the hood for supercharger wink

Sounds about right. Autoweek clocked 0-60mph in about 8.2 seconds in their 2WD V6 XLT tester.

IIRC, C&D clocked a 4WD Tribby at 8.2 to 60mph in a comparo just over a year ago. The Escape was close behind. Since most tests I've seen of the 4WD Escape/Tribute show 60mph in the upper 8's, C&D's testers must've either been factory freaks, or those were uncorrected cold weather test results.
