Not necessarily. Not sure if you've ever tried launching a car with any power at all, when the weather is near freezing? You get zero traction. Sure, that cold air is awesome for highway blasts, but say goodbye to your short times. There's also a good chance of losing control on a 1-2 shift in a RWD vehicle if you don't know what you're doing.
