Ditto man much better then the newer seats and they are a hell of a lot cheaper.

Anyone know of a good used parts place in atlanta? (or on the net that won't rape you on the shipping)I have a 98 SE with the basic POS interior and would like to check out the 95SE seats.
Lack of support isn't a problem YET, but the BAT euro kit will be in this week so I'm looking forward to a little more tossability.
98 SE BAT Big Brake Kit "C", Throttle Hang Fix, B&M Shifter, Lightly Cracked Secondaries, BAT Euro Handling Kit, 20% tint, Removed Ding Strips, ES Motor Mount Inserts, Borla CatBack, Apexi SAFC, HighTower Rear Brace, BAT 19mm rear bar, MSDS Headers & Y, AFE 20-35008 filter, ClutchMasters Stage 1, Fidanza FlyWheel, SVT T.B. ====OnOrder==== svt uppers and lowers,

Lousecontour -So your seats RAISED you up a bit? I'm looking to lower my position a bit as the steering wheel gets to close to my knee when trying to do the "pedal shuffle" at the track. I can't move the wheel so I thought lowering the seat would work better..hmm...maybe not. Oh, and the 95's had the biggest bolsters. Check here http://contour.org/cgi-bin/displaypics.cgi?dir=/FAQ/img/decont to see the seats and all the stuff that they took off after the 95 model year.

Cobra, MOMO, Sparco, OMP, Recaro, Corbeau are the most reputable out there. I would stay away from the new "racing seats" that you see advertised in most import performance mags. I don't think that they meet -any- safety standard out there. The brands mentioned earlier all do. A seat is an important SAFETY item. Imagine being in an accident and having it break (either in half or off it's mounts. Your safety belt does not do much good if your seat is broken...

Sorry if this question is completely stupid, but is there any way to mount an aftermarket seat on the stock power seat bracket safely? It seems to me that if there was that would allow the height flexability some are looking for.

The Sparco Torino seat is about the same size as the factory SVT seat, but is a little more comfortable and forms to the body well.

I do know what I'm talking about. The original seats ('95) were designed and manufactured by Douglas and Lomason (Bought by Magna in late '96)
The bolsters were nice, but actually a carryover from the European Mondeo. They were dropped for the US production after 1 year due to complaints from a majority (not likely any CEGer) of owners who felt the seats were to stiff and to narrow. Magna's seats made some functional, ergonomic and engineering changes. They are good seats, but do not compare in quality to Recaro SRDs, Sparco Torino's or Milano's. If you can find them the best no hassle fit would be a Sparco Star (IMHO).

Coach potatoes! Glad I bought a '95 SE. I LOVE my seats. It's easily one of the best seats in many cars I've driven. Granted, I like seats that hugs me real good.
