I do know what I'm talking about. The original seats ('95) were designed and manufactured by Douglas and Lomason (Bought by Magna in late '96)
The bolsters were nice, but actually a carryover from the European Mondeo. They were dropped for the US production after 1 year due to complaints from a majority (not likely any CEGer) of owners who felt the seats were to stiff and to narrow. Magna's seats made some functional, ergonomic and engineering changes. They are good seats, but do not compare in quality to Recaro SRDs, Sparco Torino's or Milano's. If you can find them the best no hassle fit would be a Sparco Star (IMHO).
