Does competition drive me? Sure. Is it worth risking my life or ablilty to feel my legs over? Nope. And it's not like this is occasional. I'll go out on a limb and say the injury rate for footbal is worse than any other sport, including boxing and MMA fighting. Atleast when you get knocked out it's over.

My cousin mike's friend's injury list so far this year:

Broken thumb
Broken wrist
dislocated hip
torn ACL

2 of those injuries will nag him for the rest of his life...it's silly
