My best friends younger brother is in the ICU right now with severe head/brain trauma.
He plays football for Blair Academy. They were in their 4th quarter and he received a late hit after a play. He never saw it coming. The other guy must have hit him just right. He was knocked unconscious immediately. They medivaced him to the hospital. They performed surgery immediately, removing a piece of his skull to relieve pressure. His brain swelled instantly and hasn't stopped since. He has severe hemorrhaging on both sides of his brain.
He had just turned 18 on Friday.
Right now its not looking good for him, but there is still hope that he pulls through okay. But there is still the chance that he pulls through and is brain dead, if he survives at all
I just ask for anyones prayers for Kurt and his family. I can't immagine what they have been going through the last 42 hours. I know my friend has been taking it real hard.
