I just picked up another SVT to drop a 3L into. The owner thought he could strip the engine and sell all the svt parts without me knowing. Things did not go well when I found out. Anyway I'm missing numerous nuts and bolts and other misc parts.

So far this is what I need:

-all the transmission to block bolts
-the passenger side plate that bolts the metal mount on the block to the mount on the fender
-Power steering pump with nuts and bolts
-a few engine mount bolts

If anyone has a stash of bolts from a torn down 2.5 let me know I'll buy what I need off you. I have extra bolts but things I use on the 3L builds are not left over. I'll have a complete list of the bolts I need tonight or in a day or two. Otherwise I'll buy them from a dealer but I figure this might help some clear out their bins.

Thanks,
Chris

That stuff doesn't typically come with a used long block. PS is usually gone. No trans of course. Good luck.

Where are you finding all these SVTs that need motors?

They pop up everywhere. Ebay, forums, classifieds, etc...

Get me a list of what you need and I'll see what I can do. I know I've got some of it. I just swapped my 3L out of my 95 SE into an SVT with a blown tranny. I stripped down the SVT motor and parted most of it out so I still have left over bolts that I didn't want to do anything with until I knew for sure what I'd need.

I'll put holes in him!!

I've got a good PS pump with some bolts, less than 40K on it. I have lots of bolts but not the engine mounting bolts.

I'll get the list up ASAP so I can get this thing running within the week.

Tom,

I just checked and apparently there is a pump at the junk yard near my house that has one for $29 and I doubt you want to go that cheap shipped. I know I wouldn't. I still need bolts though. I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks,
Chris

True. I could go $40 shipped I guess.

Ok I built of the 3L engine and these are the parts I need to finish it:

**When I say the size of the bolt head I mean the size socket that fits on them**

-5 Timing cover bolts (the ones with 13mm heads that have studs on them for the power steering pump)
-Power steering pump nuts and bolts. There are a few 10mm nuts and bolts that hold the power steering pump in place. There should be two long bolts, two short bolts, and 7 nuts.
-Power steering pully bolts. I need all four 10mm bolts
-Idler pully and bolt to hold it on
-2 of the shorter engine mount to block bolts. The huge metal engine mount that bolts between the heads. There are four bolts and two are shorter. I'm missing those.
-All the transmission to block bolts
-2 Radiator mount bolts. They have 8mm heads and are pretty small.

Let me know if you might have them or if you have questions. I'll snap shots of the bolts I need if I have another right now.

Thanks,
Chris

I have about 3/4 of the stuff you are looking for.
On the large engine mount I'd recommend just buying newer ones from the hardware store.
I have the power steering pump and bolts necessary but I guess I didn't just want to split them up.
Idler bolt I got, but again that is not a specialty bolt and you can get it from the hardware store.

About the only ones you mentioned that are critical are the studs for the power steering pump. Every other one is easily found at home depot.
I can give you the diamter, length and pitch size and you will end up paying less just getting them that way rather than paying for used ones from someon and shipping.

Oh, and the socket head size won't matter on most bolts, only the diameter length and pitch.
