New paint would be around $2000-$3000 for basic colors. Fancy colors such as pearl and color shifting paints will raise the price.
And I second the wetsanding idea. After my paint job we wetsanded the entire car with 1600 grit and buffed it out with 3M Rubbing compound then polished it.
