It may be lame, but it's true. The only religious, anti-gay, anti-women people that the left sticks up for are terrorists.
That's just dumb, and it's the first time I've heard of such a thing. I bash the Catholic Church a lot. I also dislike Bush greatly, though I don't even consider myself a lefty. I'm moderate. In any case, I damn sure don't defend terrorists. Where the hell did you get such a stupid idea?

I pay attention to American politics and read the news. ...And the "I'm a moderate" line was great!

Neither is having sex, but Catholic schools still ban that.

In your opinion, no. But in the school's opinion, they are doing the right thing.
But sex outside of marriage is against Christian beliefs.
And you're right, the school thinks they are doing the right thing. But that doesnt mean they are doing the right thing.
IMO and from what i have seen with people i know who have been so sheltered, when they get to college or whatever, its overwhelming and most tend to make alot of bad decisions.

Your right, its against the Christian belief system, but it is not against any laws.
Who's to say they are not doing the right thing? If the parents who send their kids to that or any private school believe the school is doing the right thing, then they are for those students. Period. That's why its a private school!
And I agree with your last point to a degree, however, alot of people make bad decisions in those years.....

Eh, that's a convenient myth. And like Ryan said, a lot of different types of people make bad decisions in college.

You are right. We should let the government tell our private schools what to do now!

I went to a private Christian school and I was not allowed to drink or smoke outside of school. I did both anyway but if I had been caught I would have been suspended or expelled. Part of going to a private school is living by the rules both inside and outside of the school.
A little contradictive wouldnt you say?
Not really, because if you asked the school administration they would say he lived by the rules (since he never got caught). If he would have been caught, he would not have been going to a private school.
EDIT: Oh, and it's contradictory.
EXACTLY! Thanks Davo. I may have been doing the wrong thing at the time but I knew it was wrong and did it anyways. I knew if I got caught I would get kicked out.
If my parents wanted me to go to a school where there are no rules against what you do outside of school, they would have sent me to public school.
