Children must do whatever their parents say until they turn 18. If you want to make this an argument about what kids should and should not be able to do, then go ahead, but it's not what you intended when you started the thread.
Please don't look past the fact that parents can remove their kids from these schools whenever they like. Being mad because these kids are supposedly trapped in Catholic schools and therefore cannot have MySpace accounts is kind of foolish, because I don't see any right to such accounts or, frankly, the need for one.

how about blaming the kids for stuff their parents do outside the school? in Costa Mesa, twin boys were expelled from Kindergarten because their parents were a gay couple. parents also complained that one of the fathers volunteered as a classroom aide which the school could have just asked him not to do anymore. yes, homosexuality goes against Catholic policy but what about children who attend Catholic school who's parents are mobsters or drug dealers etc...? what about keeping priests around who have committed homosexual molestation?

So, lets just hurry up and get to the point the Catholicism is bad and start bashing it, then lets start the "All Muslims are Terrorists" Thread, and follow it up with "All Gays have AIDS" thread...mmmkay?

Was this the case in like 1990 or something?
Several girls at my HS were busted for sexual activity in the bathrooms and closets. Under the stage in the cafeteria turned out to be a prime place for 'quickies' in between classes.

The same people who bash Catholics are the ones that will defend Islamic terrorists to the death. You can't have Bibles in public schools but the U.S. government provides Qurans to terrorists. Explain that to me.
Ann Coulter said it best: Take away the fact that their sole purpose is to kill Americans and the left would hate terrorists. They're pro-religion, anti-women, anti-gay, etc., all the qualities they despise in Christians.

One of the high schools around here just had eight students get busted having an orgy (seriously, group sex) in study hall.

Come on Dave, how do you expect these adolescents to get any booty, outside of what they get from their Pastors?

There is every reason for them to tell them what to do outside of school. it is a private school and therefore not subject to the same rules as public schools. I went to a private Christian school and I was not allowed to drink or smoke outside of school. I did both anyway but if I had been caught I would have been suspended or expelled. Part of going to a private school is living by the rules both inside and outside of the school.
