Has anyone put a SVT body kit on a Mystique? If so how hard was it and what did you have to modify to make it fit? Thanks.

You could do the sides and rear with no problem, but the front would take some serious molding.

If I'm not "Mystaken" the curvature of the two grilles are the same, so the front bumper would indeed fit. I also believe there was someone a while back that had actually done this.

yeah i think your right chris...i think the only thing that might have to be done is buying some fog light housings since the ones on the mystiques are different.

See, I would have to disagree with you Chris, I put my 'stique right up to a 'tour, and my grill seemed to be lower. I'm not positive, but im prety sure they dont fit.

Agreed on disagreeing with Chris. laugh Does that make any sense?!?

Mystique grille entends further forward and definitely seems to "dig" deeper in the bumper. Headlights also extend further forward. Swap is feasible but would require some mods. I think that molding the bumpers together would give the best results.

Well, I can see there is an obvious difference in the bumpers. The Mystiques is flatter, and the headlights are taller. You know, HTe Mystique might be compatible with the Mondeo bumper?!?!?!?! And, the headlights might work with a little Dremelling, too!

I really wish we had a 98+ Mystique in our local group so I could take a better look. As far as the grilles having different bottom edges, I don't see it.

Chris, the dipped curve in the bumper that clears the grille is a little different on both cars... I don't think it would be hard to fix though, you could just modify the grille instead of the bumper if the lights end up fitting well.

We are going to put my SVT bumper on Jeff's Mystique to check that out very soon. I'll take pictures as we do it to outline what needs to be done to make it fit. If only the weather was milder up here!! Brrr...

Pascal,

That would be great! This would let the Mystique people get some of the last SVT bumpers before they are gone. Keep us updated, and good luck!
