I just upgraded 2-months ago. Running a Sony 36" HS420 HD Wega model. Becuase it is a tube the Picture is superior to everything else out there. With a family it gets used quite a bit for EDTV so the dynamics are great as it is equivalent to a 32" Widescreen when the HD comes on. I would have preferred the 40" WEGA but they are no longer made.
For a reciever I went with the Sony STR-DE997, 7.1 @ 110W/channel. Feature rich and the price was right. Retails for $499 but can be had for around $350- $400 for the STR-DE998 which is the most current model.
Onkyo HTIB are my speakers which are getting upgraded as soon as decide what I want. For anyone out there who wants to help. Budget is about $1200 but I willing to exceed that by $300 if it pushes me to something far superior. I want a large center channel with lots of output, a compact subwoofer that can get loud when desired, and two front speakers which would utilize my stands, or a slim pair of fronts. Something with a small footprint.

I have the room.....I just need to get it configured. Even had to start making longer cables so I could make use of them

Well, I know your the king of budget speakers that sound amazing. I need the fronts(prefer floor standing),
center channel, and rear speakers.
I've been looking at these as well=

All of my ideas would involve some sort of assembly, are you at all willing to make a kit speaker?

Actually, Yes, I was actually thinking of using my Dyn-Audio system 360 in a home enclosure. I bet they would sound awesome.
