Buick consistently ranks among the best brands in most quality ratings. Their cars are relatively boring, and rightfully so, they should be. Are there numbers showing that old people are buying less buicks and more Lexus type cars that you have to choose either a smaller car or higher price tag with negligibly better (in some cases) quality than a Buick? I don't doubt they are losing market share like every other domestic brand, but I don't the their outlook is completely bleak in their market. Getting more "sporty" is going to do just about nothing to retain a Lesabre owner, and making a big luxury car isn't going to appeal to a younger car owner, like the LaCrosse is targeted at. I would say this is an entirely appropriate car for the segment, whereas the LaCross seems to have missed the mark slightly.
