Sounds like something that happened to me...

I walk into a local Ford dealership interested in buying a 2003 or 2004 SVT Cobra. I didn't expect them to have one, and they didn't. I begin talking with one of the salemen that claims he is a Mustang "freak" and has been following the line for years. He then asks me why I would want a 03'/04' Cobra when I could get the 05' GT. I told him I am into fast cars and a used supercharged Cobra with 390HP and low miles that costs less than a new 300HP GT is more appealing to me. He laughs and tells me the 05' GT would smoke the 03'/04' SVT Cobra and that Ford never supercharged any of the SVT Cobras. I proceeded to roll my eyes and walk back to my car in amazment.

Of course he's going to tell you that. He wants to sell you

that nice brand new Mustang. Probably gets a bigger

commission check opposed to selling you a used car for less

money. Although it is true that many car dealers are highly

uneducated about the cars they sell, you would figure it

would be the opposite.
