My car has ABS as well as traction control. It's also an ATX. I'm not too concerned w/ the t/c indicator as I yanked the switch to turn it off anyways. If you can find one out of a pre-98 zetec, I will make it work. smile Thanxs

Has anyone tried installing a small LED in the headlight switch knob to illuminate it at night? I pulled apart a spare switch I have and found that the knob itself will allow for light to come through the indicators and there was a small hole that channeled through the switch which could be used for running some sort of light. I was also thinking that you could drill a hole somewhere in the casing to catch some of the light from the main bulb which illuminates the on/off indicators surrounding the knob. Let me know if you come up with something as I'd love to have the knob light up. Thanks.

Escort1991: The red I'm talking about isn't really red at all. No idea why Ford called it Midnight Red, its really more maroon/purple, really dark. Take a look at the pic on my website and you'll get the idea what color I'm talking about.

Yeah, that's the color. It looks almost black under some conditions and then turns purple in sunlight. No idea why Ford calls it Midnight Red, you're right, not very much red in it at all.

I went to the dealer a couple of weeks ago and ordered some touchup paint, the code was EN and the guy looked it up in the system 'yep, that's midnight red'. It had to be ordered, not something they kept in stock. Unfortunately I returned to school after spring break before I got it, but this is where dealer service reached a new level for me..they actually Fedex'ed it to me at school, I didn't ask for that at all, just decided to let it sit at home until I went back for the summer. Talk about customer care laugh Thumbs up for Kip Kilmon's Tysons Ford in Tysons Corner, VA smile

LOL!! Pretty sure it was a Ford dealer wink

Northern VA is a fairly high-income area so I guess the Ford dealer has to go the extra step to hold on to their customers when they could easily walk over to the BMW or Lexus dealer for their next car. Just my 2 cents.. confused
