I'm with you. The only stock portion of my exhaust: the tips. Because of the headers, mine is a little bit louder when you stand next to it idling, but when not stomping it, it's pretty close to passing for stock. You can get resonators and mufflers that perform without unnecessarily advertising it.

I still get to have a loud car when I want to.

And yes, a 3L would be even better.
