I'd be willing to bet just about every well maintained stock CSVT that rolls out the door will top out at over 140mph Your 6 - 10hp mods and auto transaxle on a tired 130hp Zetec needs to put its trust in an inaccurate speedometer then present it as some sort of fact. And your "know what speed feels like" isn't any better proof than an inaccurate speedometer. One moment you say your speedometer is inaccurate, then you say that it's darn close, more accurate with your 17s, but you're basing all of this on your 14" tire run? Ever been clocked at going 130mph or ever did any dyno runs to backup your HP claims, since you're kind of hinting that the factory might have severely underestimated your car? Like the guy said, I'd guess that you're closer to 120mph
No you don't. You still don't understand about the HP, weight, and other variables. And my zetec isn't tired. It's on viagra. And my "know what speed feels like" is just a fact that I know the difference between say 115 and 130. One moment? EVERY moment I say almost all speedometers are somewhat inaccurate. And hmm, did you really read? I said that I had it more accurate with 17"s, so with a simple calculation came out that the 130 indicated really was more like 128. Hell no I haven't been clocked going 130, cops tend to arrest you and take your license for that. As I've told you, only did it once anyways. Hmm dyno runs backing up MY HP CLAIMS? What HP claims have I claimed exactly? I missed that memo. I never said the factory underestimated my car. I said there is no known rated top speed for a atx zetec and that the "rated" top speed for a svt (or any car for that matter) is not exact.
Hector's car weighed more than mine and we've established it was never as fast as it should be. I believe there was talk of his speedo being very inaccurate at one point anyways.
As I said, it was probably 128ish. I'm thinking 125-128. And it was still pulling.
This is fun. BTW, zetec contours aren't fun. Mine/anything on it is for sale for the right price.
Sure I do. Thanks, buddy, 4 that "no known rated top speed for a atx zetec" statement. I put it to good use. U see, just like U, I got my car out on an open stretch of highway at "4 o'clock" this morning I hit my first top speed - just like U talked about - at around 144mph. But I kept my foot on it for a long long time, a few miles - just like U did Then the same thing happened to me that U said happened to U. Some crazy things must have started happening with spark control, MAF tweeking, timing and torque curve because I started going 4 my "2nd top-end" -like yours did. All of the sudden it was like somebody threw an extra shovel full of coal into the furnace because it started to pull quite strongly towards my new 2nd top-end, dude - just like what U claim happened 2 U!! My needle bent went it hit 160mph But it isn't too accurate and I was still pulling so I'll guess that my new "2nd top-end" is around 165-167mph with the 1 inch drop factored in. NOT REALLY. I made that ALL up. Just took some details that U told me and made a few adjustments to suit my CSVT. Your 6-10hp mods aren't heavy enough to give U that 2nd top-end of around 130mph. You've given zero proof, just a few basic and simple low HP bolt-ons and talk of cam gears and optimized TBs doing crazy and neat things 4 a cars top-end 2nd top-end?
