Thanks a lot SVTCANUK!

Went to Princess Auto and picked up a few 6203 bearings at $1.69 ea. But was unable to change it because the stupid pulley is made of plastic and the whole thing was molded around the bearing so that the outer race of the bearing is almost completely burried. Any attempt of pressing out the bearing seems to be cracking or destroying the pulley. I'm glad I didn't go to the other place asking $10 per bearing.

Fortunately the ball retainer in the bearing is made of plastic too, and can be popped out, making the bearing servicable. So I did the best I could and gave it a good clean up in a kerosene bath, packed it with grease and put it back to service. Those of you who have a metal pulley may have better luck.

The noise, however, remains the same. And with the front-right wheel off and a splash shield removed I found the noise source -- the alternator. It sucks but it's my turn I guess, at 9 years/150,000km. Time to exercise myself up for that big challenge.

By the way, the bearing is metric, at least in my car.
