On a 95 it's simple. Take a paper clip / short wire stripped at both ends. Under the hood, behind the driver's side strut tower there are two connectors, a single and a second one that has i think 5 "ports" on it. Take your wire and insert one end into the single connector. Taking the second connector, orient it so that the 2 poles are on top (you'll see what I mean). Insert the other end of your wire into the top right plug and turn on the key.
Make sure you have it in park (out of gear) and the parking brake up at least one click to turn on the brake light in the dash cluster.
