Am in the process of installing a remanufactured CD4E in a 98 Contour SE 2.5L. When I was removing the ATX the manual said to remove the starter before dropping the ATX. It appears that it would be easier to mount the starter on the ATX before mating the ATX back to the engine. Am I missing something??? Also, while I had the ATX out I replaced the rear engine oil seal. The manual says I should replace the flwheel bolts. Does this sound reasonable? Are flywheel bolts like the modern head bolts; can they only be torqued once????
