Well i figure a subject title like this has got to get someones attention. I just changed my spark plus recently. To do so I removed the front engine plastic cover blocking the front 3 plugs. I then disconnnected and removed the metal box covering the front three plugs.

During the plug change this box took a short drop back down over the plugs. Funny thing is I could hear something ratteling when when i reinstalled this box over the plugs. Does this sound normal?

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

Possibly, but perhaps not ideal.

That box is the IMRC (intake manifold runner control). It includes a small electric motor, and some gears that work to control the lingth of the cable as needed to control the intake manifold secondaries. IIRC, the gears could tend to rattle under the handling you described.

If your secondaries are working, don't worry about it. There is no practical repair without replacing it.

Thank you very much, that gave me something to go with. Considering I could only here some movement if I wiggled the module i'll leave it be. Have a good one
