*=When it works. Mine freakin' smokes, and I'm only on the intermediate tier of speed. But having worked tech support for Cox for a few months (the Phoenix and Tucson markets), I can tell you that not everyone can get a decent cable signal.
I am a field tech for Cox and everybody can get good signal. Also Oklahoma is about to go to 15mb up and down in about 7 months.

15 mb UP?! Damn! Cox bought an existing cable company about six years ago here in Vegas, and still haven't upgraded speeds to what other markets get.
You're obviously a good field tech, and I believe you when you say anyone can get a decent signal... The problem I see, based on my paltry five months on the floor, is meathead subcontractors who only know how to read a meter, if that.

most contractors dont have meters they have to buy all there own tools and a meter is a very very pricy tool. most of the time they just hook up the lines and assume that they work.
