I almost had the same problem. I stripped one of the bolts. I bought a new gasket and used some penetrating oil on the other bolt while re-installing the EGR. The new gasket is heat sensitive and will adhere to the UIM and EGR when heated. My problem was insufficient EGR flow, so I cleaned out the throttle body, but stripped the EGR bolts upon re-assembly. The one bolt is holding sufficiently after about 2 weeks.

I would take the UIM off and helicoil it.

Remember to ALWAYS use anti-seize on aluminum !!!

Easy Out is a brand name for a tool which is like a drill bit. It has reverse threads on it. YOu drill a hole into the bolt (or whats left of the bolt after the head is broken), and the tap the Easy Out drill bit in until it is stuck on the broken bolt. Then twist it counter clockwise until it comes out. The reverse threads on the drill bit ensures that the bolt comes out as you "tighten" the drill bit.

Is that a problem that happen often....is the EGR bolt are fragile ???....is it on the V6 engine...'cause I have a 4cyl. engine and I have EGR high flow code too....but me I think it's the EGR sensor not the EGR valve who's faulty....but I just want to know if I should be careful when I remove the EGR bolts they seems to be fragile as you said...

thanks

What is the exact CEL code? And spray some PB Blaster (penetrating fluid), Liquid Wrench, etc. before you try to remove the bolts.

my codes are 336 and 337

336: Exhaust Pressure High/EGR ( DPFE) circuit voltage higher than expect

337: EGR circuit above maximum voltage

but yeah I always put spray fluid on the bolts that seem full of rust but thank you for the advice

Sounds like the DPFE sensor to me.
No need to remove the EGR valve for you.

Using an easy out or similar tool would be my choice.
Runing with only 1 bolt holding it on isn't my first choice. Expect problems later.
2 bolts were put there for a reason.
