i took off the badge, i know it is different, but i used goo-gone and a dish scraper to get the glue off. the dish scraper is a plastic piece that has like rounded edges and is soft(so it bends) and will not scratch the paint. if it is raised, this might be better than a fingernail. other than that i dont have any better ideas that anyone else. good luck.
