went to auto zone pulled the code from my car again... it is P-1120 and the description is throttle position sensor out of range. apparently this is not the same code for a bad tps because he said that there was another code for that. i did leave my battery unhooked for about an hour after changing the tps last time. Any suggestions on what this code may mean is again greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

i am pretty sure that i installed it correctly.....the throttle body and the tps did not exactly line up so i put it on and then rotated about ninety degrees until the screwholes lined up, although i did not feel any spring tension until just about where the holes lined up. i dont think it would be possible to rotate it any further.?

The connection end needs to be tilt slightly up. Place the TPS right up to where the screw holes are and tip the right/connection side up about 20 degrees. Mate to TB and turn it down so you can put the 2 screws on. I'm wondering if you did placed it on wrong with your 90 deg. statement.

if that is the case i did it 180 degrees wrong! i started with it in the down position and tilted up. i will try that, it sure would be nice to get rid of that annoying little light that taunts me every time i drive somewhere! if this is the case do you think my mpg will improve? mine isnt all that bad i think its around 17 in town and 20 freeway.
