OP Christof Member C Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 74 florida	Well, since I know precisely nothing about body kits, and what will fit what.......will the body kits on a 93-96 Mondeo fit on a 95 Contour, and if not, what kind of mods would be neccesary. I'd like to apologize in advance for this question, but I'm a guy in desperate need of a tight car. It doesn't matter what has to be done to make it fit, as I'll do just about anything, so I need to know what must be changed. Like could this fit my car: 1995 Contour LX, KIA w/ 156,264 miles. The memory will always live on..... Replaced by a 1999 Toyota Solara SLE.....

I know I asked about importing a new Mondeo from Mexico and you guys said that would run me about $25,000 to do so. What if I purchase a used Mondeo down there? How much would it cost and what would have to be done to make it street legal in the USA? I'm sure it's the same as it is up here and I could probably find a 1st gen Mondeo for around $3000-$4000. It was under a thread with a name like 'Importing a Mondeo' I can't remember right now, its too late. On a different note though, I know the MKIII Mondeos are like the ones in Europe. I don't see why they would have European MKI & MKII Mondeos brought in, when some of our Contours were built down there. I think it would make more sense ($ or otherwise) to just rebadge a Contour. I'll not only get the body kit to fit, I'll get the headlights (butcher the hood if I must), get european rims, and do whatever else I must to make my car one of a kind, the "Montour". Of course, I need a job first, so this'll take up my summer to do it all, but I'll do it. And anyone that wants to follow in my footsteps will be more than welcome. And anyone that knows this stuff and wants to help me out, you are certainly welcome. 1995 Contour LX, KIA w/ 156,264 miles. The memory will always live on.....
