ok got a question on the ears on the block , which ears do you remove

here is a pic of the 02 3L Sable block with my 2.5 timing cover on



this is a little pic i covered the ears with paint. Are these the ears I need to remove to to install the 2.5 alternator bracket to the block



please correct me if i am wrong. i searched the how to but didn't find a answer

One tab on the block, another on the head. so, if doing a hybrid, the one on the head would not be an issue.

well she is up and running sounds nice and mean. just need to get either a svt ecu/maf or a chip for tuning for now.

i have a svt pcm RJL1 let me know if you need it...

Chipping will be cheaper and less hassel. SVT ECU will require a PATS reprogram from the dealer. However, if that's the route you want to take, I too have an SVT ECU 98.5 (return style).
