Soudns liek you got ssome nice plans for it Sav. Exhaust really opens up that motor. You are right, the Jetta handles like a dream, but sit freakin 4x4 style, lol. Just get some neuspeed springs, or even Drop Zone springs and put them on teh stock struts (assuming they are good and not wore out). Improves the stand a lot more and improves handling a lot more.

Love the smoked tails on thsoe, and the clear bumper lights is an absoult emust. With the Jetta... Ebay has JUST become your friend, lol. They make a sweet body color grill that doesn't have the VW emblem that looks GREAT!.

They had them for the MK4 that I always wanted, but they were usually 150 bucks +. I know you can get oen for yours for around 50 or so.

ur car excites me. . . .I'd reorder your "mods" though:

1. Vacuum leak fix
2. Rims will enhance both handling AND looks (2 for 1!)
3. Intake
4. Exhaust
5. Random aesthetic stuff
6. Drink beer
7. Lower car
8. Drink more.

here we go:

SAV knows i will pimp smack him if he gets drop zone anything.

smoked tails + clear bumper lights = the suck. all clear or all smoked. i already offered him my m3 style tails if he can get ahold of some smoked.

the badgeless grill is a nice upgrade too. SAV, i just took mine off since i am entering OEM+ styling next year. if you are interested, it just needs to be resprayed to your color. mk4 grills are so expensive because they are integrated into the bumper (at least the quality ones are).

always get the car running correctly. after that, suspension first...always. mk3's (and any car for that matter) look ridiculous with 4" of wheel gap, and aftermarket wheels make it look even worse. from there, do whatever you'd like. performance, wheels, pretty stuff. whatever

Yeah, stupid MK4 grills. Those cheap ones where just a snap in cover that were "t3h sux". I sugest teh smoked rears and clear fornts just becuase I though tthey looked better. Not sure I'f ever seen clear MK3 lights, actually. . I know they exist, just never saw them.

Clear fronts is needed, and so is painting that front and rear lower flat black valances is also a must. Whats nice is it's almsot like an "instant body kit" lol.

I suggested Drop Zone just becuase it was a cheap alternative to upgrading the stance, but Sav is a baller, he can offord something better. I had the neuspeed springs on my 01 Jetta which really raked the hell out of, "almost" too much. But the car handled SO agressive, thing felt like it was on tracks, just couldn't get it to spin AT ALL no matter how fast I took it around the track.

See Sav, you have two people telling you to swap out that grille... so you HAVE to do it, lol.

Damn, I want my Jetta back again, lol.

Why'd she get rid of it? Cause I know you didn't buy that car from a guy.

Well, his wife said that stick was getting old...

Which stick she was referring to is completely over my head though.
