You don't take them out, it is a retainer for the bolt/stud.
Just remove the nuts.

Often times those studs sheer off, in that case thru-bolt it.

I could not get the pins out of those bolts for the life of me. I tried everything minus a torch, which unfortunately I dont have. I just used through bolts after that, no biggie. You can even still use the springs, you just need some washers.

so i its october 19 2005 at 4:23 pm and i am still waitin on the UPS man to come with my new trubendz y pipe. every time i here a school bus go by my heat skips a beat. yarhhh this is like x-mas eve.
