How different are the upper and lower intakes on the regular V6 to the SVT's intakes? I had to do both gaskets on my motor about a month after I put the motor in, so I sent my intakes to my works machine shop to be ported and polished. I notice a huge bottom end improvment but I'm thinking of getting an SVT set. What I want to know if it'll be worth it?

that all depends on how much porting your shop did, my understanding, and this may be wrong, is that the svt manifold is bigger to begin with, not sure on exact sizing but search and you will find it, but also the svt intake in extrude honed from the factory. I think I ve heard that the regular manifold cannot be honed out to match the svt. for the best results get the svt and send it to extrude hone for another pass or two

Let me get this straight, your machine shope ported your intake manifold, and you noticed better LOW-END power????? Also, I'm sure they had a hell of a time porting the entire intake runner, as Extrude Honing is about the only real way of doing so..

When you get new intake rudders, make sure to install a new mainmast and topsail too.
