Hello, just wondering if there were anyone in the Boston, MA area willing to check out a car for me? It's a 2000 Contour SVT. All the details are here really: 2000 CSVT Exact address is 159 Memorial Drive Avon, MA 02322. It's a 4 hours drive away from me and I don't want to make the trip only to find the guy 'forgot' to mention it doesn't have any back seats or something. If anyone is up for it, let me know. You would be doing me a huge favor. Thanks.

Looks to be in decent condition. Fairly low miles too. The only negatives I can see is lots of swirls in the paint, but that's a given on a black car that hasn't been polished/waxed. Should clean up nicely though. The antenna looks to be bent and may not retract due to that. The dash is warping above the instrument cluster. I can't tell if it warping near the windshield because of the glare.

Although, it looks like there is some nice billet pedals. All the side skirts are there and in decent condition. Its a little too far for me to swing on by though. There's prolly someone closer.

Eh, dash warp?

Dash warp: a common problem on '99 and '00 Contours due to a dashboard revision. The dash will curl toward the windshield, leaving a nasty gap and potentially inhibiting your view of the road. Not that Ford ever considered it a safety recall. My friend's 2000 SE has warp so bad that the plastic vent piece slides freely along the dashboard when she turns a corner.

Dash warp kit fix ($70 part from Ford, and there are installation instructions available on PDF ... the easiest way is to dismantle the entire dashboard, the hardest way is to pop out the windshield ) This kit also includes rivets to keep the dash from curling near the steering wheel as well (which is a problem on 98 Contours too; my dash is warped there but it's not hugely noticeable unless you were to compare with a dash that isn't warped). pictures
