Connery had the look, the voice and the action, but he was missing that brooding, seething "rip your throat out" aura that Dalton exhuded.
Overall, I'll give you that he was the best "Bond" package so far, but if acting chops and REALLY lining the character up with how Ian Flemming wrote Bond, Dalton kicks everyone into the bog. It's just too bad he didn't have the "look".
