Hello all i am new to the csvt world just got mine three days ago. picked up a 99 svt at an auction for $900 bucks. they just announced that it was a six cyl. manual shift. imagine my suprise after driving it! anyway i just have three easy questions: is the throttle hang fix harmful at all to the engine... i have already installed it and it works like a charm but i want to make sure it is not bad for the car as repairs on this monster are expensive and time consuming. will my tps being bad cause me bad fuel economy? and last of all my low coolant light is on and it is full of anti freeze... is there a bleed fitting on the coolant system that i can purge air out or is this a common sensor to go bad. sorry to be so long winded and thanks! :help:

Welcome. $900? We all hate you! You lucky dog.

Don't think the TH is harmful. Some have complained of losing HP (???). Yes, clean the throttle body. Make sure coolant is half inch above max line. In addition, make sure oil is half quart above max line.

Edit. Coolant thread
Might want to massage upper hoses (with coolant recovery cap loose to aid in air leaving the system) first.

Throttle hang fix isn't harmfull, many have had it done... for years.

Make sure your coolant is OVER the max line, abotu 1/2". These cars have a picky sensor.

Edit:

Oh, $900 bucks!? Give us some details liek condition or miles, thats a hell of a deal for one that is atleast running.
And welcome to CEG!
