i have only had one vehicle of mine broken into.
it was my van and while i was living in a condo with very nosy neighbors.
i had been living there for almost a year when it happend.
i alway sparked in well lit part of the lot that was visible from the building.
i went away for the night and came home the next morning to find everything that belonged in the van...outside the van.
yet the neighbors never even questioned someone tearing through my van and throwing stuff around the lot.

Mine was parked on the street under a light. I'm kinda shocked they picked mine over the other cars down the street in the dark. Oh well.... This was my first break-in, also. I got lucky but I still don't like it.

Ambient light often works against you ... they can clearly see in your car to make a quick smash-and-grab. One of my friends' cars was broken into and he was parked diagonal/under the parking lot light (which meant the light pretty much flooded his interior and made that shiny new head unit clearly visible, as well as any steps thieves might need to take to get it out quickly.)

The Davis - Sorry to hear 'bout the incident . Some kids nowadays really suck . It makes you want to rip their bloody hearts out & shove it down their throats !! The lack of respect nowadays really escapes me   .

Get a pager alarm - that way next time you can say hello to the little f-ers with the "click" of the hammer being pulled back, while the barrel is pressed against their temple.
