On another forum, somebody mentioned that they had pretty badly limited range with their remote, but if they aimed the remote at their chin, they could get the car to lock and unlock from about 80 ft away.

I tried it when I was headed back to my car from the mall today, and it works...lol. Probably will get brain cancer now...but it about triples the range.

I had bought my 99 se used, but only got one remote. I managed to get a new in the box remote, but it was incorrect, and no help from the seller.
I went to the dealer, which has a location in a small town where I got my car {I was after a 3/4 ton 4x4 originally}, and a dealership in my city.
I simply stated the salemen sent the wrong one, and the parts guy looked at mine, said stupid f***, arn't they, and got me the correct one, and got a tech to come out and program it in 5 minutes.
Find another dealer, and ask if they can help.
$119 is a crock.
