Here's what a broken sway bar mount looks like if you are interested.

Did you know that Ford wants $45 for that little clamp that holds the sway bar in place?? Are they serious? I could make that in my garage in one afternoon half drunk.

Anyway, I priced out the rear subframe and it's $260 at the dealer + the two clamps @ $45 a piece, that's $350. The aftermarket beefed up subframe is $375+ shipping. Hmmmm... Wonder what I will do...

Anyone have experience with the aftermarket subframe?

$50 to get the old one welded up better than new, $20 for two new poly bushings with real two-bolt straps = $70, and exactly the same finished product. Save yourself $300.

Is this the equivalent of $375 beefed up subframe?? Would this compare to the ATI subframe??

Ive been there, many times. The last time it broke, I was over an hour from home and I got to hear it clunk on every little bump. When the car got back in the driveway, the subframe came out and the plates were strengthened, 1/4" thick steel, boxed.

Years later and all is still good.
