I have a 2000 SE, had the dash replaced after the install upgrade kit to cure dash warp ruined my original dash. That was in 9/2001.
Now, the dash appears tight, but there is a persistent "tick-tack" rattle almost anytime I cross a concrete road expansion joint, and on the highway, it can rattle continuously.
I had it by the Dealer, they couldn't hear anything, (Read they apparently didn't want to pursue it).
Has anyone had this issue? I have stock suspension and tire size, 15x7 Borbet alloys. It appears the rattles are coming from the place where the defroster vent assembly is connected to the dash surface, near the front of the dash unit. The rest of the dash appears very tight, but something is going on inside.
Anyone had this experience?
