Yes you should definitely be able to feel it.
When I used to drive my sister's Geo everywhere, it didn't have ABS, so when you move to a car that does have ABS, if you slam on the brakes in an area that's dusty or maybe with a tad of loose gravel, you can feel the pedal pulsate. I don't know why but i hate the feeling
