as for the rust coating on brakes.......
from the website - "Rotors are plastic wrapped, and have an anti-rust inhibitor applied at the factory
to prevent corrosion during shipping " coating is so they don't show up at your door rusty.
Zinc coating might help, but not the anti rust coating.
