My stock filter was dirty so others might not notice the same difference as I did but you can't really go wrong for $60-80,depending on where you get the maf adaptor.

I don't see this as being reliable, verifiable, or factual (IMO).

An open air intake (KKM, K&N RU-3530, etc) will net you about 1-2hp throughout the band; gains of which are not noticeable by the butt dyno. You will notice the increase in sound at low rpm and WOT, but the "performance" difference is certainly not going to enable you to "spin the tires off the start" if you couldn't beforehand.

Couple the intake with a well thought out exhaust (not just slapping on some tips) for the most beneficial gains of somewhere in the ballpark of 5-9-11hp total. (???)

Get the intake for

1. a slight increase in gas mileage (if you drive as easily as you did before the intake, which the sound will make it hard to do)

2. a SLIGHT performance increase. this isn't going to make you a "winner" when you weren't before.

Don't get it because you think it is going to be a "nail you to the back of your seat" experience... This is not true, not possible, and not worth the time to listen to.

In the end... I enjoy the intake for the sound alone, if not for the mileage/performance (however slight) increase.
