My point is that the Goodyears and such are decent quality American made stuff. You can't tell me that they are not and that the crap made in Korea or somewhere else is more technologically advanced. The Japs and the like virtually shut the door on our goods!
Sure, some of the tires used by many of you guys may offer good performance, but are they practical for daily transportation through the rain and snow, on potholed roads, etc. How long will they last - 10,000 miles? How much do they cost?
If we don't start patronizing American products, all of us will be driving Nissan Sentras with Kumho tires, NGK and Nippondenso components, etc,....while we are all working as stock boys for Tire Rack or flipping burgers.
