A fair question. Probably not too many.
Whats wrong with Goodyear, Kelly or Cooper?
They all make good tires and depending on your criteria, nothing wrong with them. Got some Goodyears on the wife's pickup and will probably get another set. They just don't make any good high performance tires which is what I usually buy.
Tirerack does not offer many cheaper tires. I can go get $25 tires from a local place that I cannot at Tirerack as an extreme example. But they don't offer too many $50 standard passenger car tires. Each time I'm ready to buy tires, I look at what Tirerack has, then hit some local palces to see what's best for me that time. More options = more compitition = better for consumer.
