from what my boss has told me, you can add springs to the wastegate and it increases the turbo output dramatically. i will ask him monday how to do this if you are interested.
Definitely interested! Let me know if you find anything out. I haven't researched mods yet!
Thanks.

i guess putting springs on the turbo is kinda tricky on the newer saabs. there is a point where the computer senses the increase in boost and teh car will fall flat on its face as soon as it boosts up. but i guess you can get to that point and just decrease spring tension untill it goes away. he said you could get 3 or 4 PSI more boost though.

HA! i am just reading this for the first time. "Sully" was picked up that night and is running great. ("Sally" was the white 900 Turbo) having a working windshield washer system makes a world of difference. i guess she needs new ball joints in front and a serp belt? maybe in the spring, tho hopefully we'll be in a 93 SportCombi or a 95 Aero wagon by then...
one complaint, tho...i think you (or Pete) left the sunroof open a crack on the lot. the inside got wet and the roof wasn't closed all the way when i got in. it's all closed and dry now, so no harm done.
you gonna have time to put my snows on next week?

sorry about the sunroof...one of us must have hit it by accident.
the ball joints werent horrible, but in definite need of replacement.and your serp belt had lots of fine cracks in it.
i no longer work there, so you will have to talk to pete about eh tire swap. i am sure he will have time.

Oh man ... I can attest. My washer motor was split down the middle and rusting all over .. was that way since around March, till a few weeks ago when my dad and I diagnosed and replaced it. How nice it is to see out the windshield again ...
