Any Mystiques have melted lenses?
I'm a little conserned that the rectangle lense of the Mystique might have more hot spots than the round 'tour lense.

Since the discusion is about fog lights has anyone else have there light(s) leak water and burn a bulb out? I have a 95 Mystique, does anyone know about haow much the replacement fog lamp len or unit is. Does the lense come sparate, if it is sealed to the body then it is a unit?

From what I've seen it's not uncommon to have leaking lenses. Not sure what is causing this though.
I have no idea about parts though. I'm sure someone who has burn there leanses will tell you.

I had the 885s in my '95 for several years with NO melting , plus my SVT has had 885s in there since day 2 (almost a year now) with NO ill effects .
Put the 885s in there , you'll like it . I agree also , you ought to aim the foggies up a bit . It makes a big difference .

I quess I'll just give it a shot, and keep an eye on the lenses.
The fogs have been re-aimed for sometime now.

Just how frequent do these bulbs burn out? I had the motorcraft 893's in my SVT(stock bulbs) and it seemed like a I lost one a month!

I never had to replace any in my '95 , and like I said , my SVT's a year old soon .

Correct. Do NOT touch the glass with bare hands. If you do, clean the bulb with rubbing alcohol.
I think the problem people have with melting fog lenses is because they drive with their's on perpetually, as DRLs. Or perhaps later model 'tours have cheaper fogs, because mine have NEVER melted and I use them regularly.
BTW the bulb was $11 at Pep Boys.
