if that happenes our gas will get much cheaper, yours will get much more expensive, your economy will get even crappier.. and we will be laughing even more at you guys
Our economies are linked. If you think we will fall without taking you with us, you know nothing about economics.
Oh wait, that is obvious already.
Actually, Mr. Wulf, You are coorect in your assertation that our two economies are linked. However, Canada's economy is quite strong. Start by looking at the USD V. CDN:
$1USD=
Jan 2003 = $1.57CDN
Jan 2004 = $1.31CDN
Jan 2005 = $1.21CDN
While it seems to have leveled off, the growth is there. Foriegn interest in Canada continues to grow (ex. $800M Toyota, $1.2B GM investements over the next 3 years)Look up CDN GDP (Between 1997 and 2003, GDP growth in the Canadian economy increased at a rate of 3.6% per year. ) - I'm not an Economist (but I read The Economist *Homer voice "Boring" /end Homer voice ), not a great picture, but it has potential if you ask me.
As for potential, there is more oil under the cental Canadian shale fields than all of the middle east combined. It only a matter of cost/time before it's exploited to the benefit of all of North America.
OT & BTW, I cant post them here, but search some pictures of Canadian babes. They might lesbians, but there are some serious numbers of hotties north of the border. As to the number of Gays in Canada, I think % wise the US is leading that race -
