Some says it's because punishment in Canada are smoother, so you don't have the thrill of getting cought.

So I've learned that the education system in Canada blows more than in the US.

This law will do nothing to change the way gun shootings are handled. The state looks into whether or not a 'normal' person in the same situation would have fired a gun, and then decided whether or not to lock somebody up. SO no you cannot get away with murder. It does sound really creepy though. My only worry is that some jackass might shoot me cause he thinks it is legal. I would be dead and he would get the chair. In the end we would both get screwed.

when you sleep with a loaded gun under your pillow 'just incase.." well, you know where I'm going with this.
Give people a 'right', and it gets out of hand.
They are basically making a law that you can commit murder legally and get away with it. Make up some stupid excuse of how he was "threatening you and then you wont get charged."
All these things sound like good things to me, and why our country is great. Taking away this rights is what is screwed up and a case of government inflicting themselves on the people.
