i had a clunking sound everytime i turned left ,mechanic replaced wheel bearings is this the same as replacing lca?

No. The LCA connects the steering knuckle assembly to the subframe, the wheel bearing connects the hub to the knuckle.

Wheel bearings aren't going to produce a clunk. You got hosed on the most expensive part! Could be sway bar bushings. They are very cheap.

This is a control arm.
