Ok,

Here is my answer.

I assumed constant accelerations from 0-60, 60-100 and 100-120 (since those were the only data points I had to calculate rate of acceleration) Plus, at least for the Contour, that made for about a 16 second quarter mile time, so it was pretty close. (I mean, this is bench racing after all, right.)

At about 6.3 seconds, the GSX is about 6 meters in front of the SVT or about a car length. The GSX has traveled about 83M vs the 77M of the SVT.

The SVT will not again be even with the GSX until about 18.9 seconds from start, where using my approximations, both will have travelled about 520M

The SVT is 6M ahead at about 23.6 seconds from the start at a distance of about 736M for the SVT and 730 for the GSX.

So if you are going to race a GSX, you better have about 1/2 mile to do it laugh
